Her Journey Into Cars & Bikes:

Daniela’s love for machines started as a child helping her dad build and restore classic Chevroles like a 55 Bel-Air, '66 El Camino, and multiple 70's to 80's Camaros. This hands on upbringing planted the seed for a lifelong passion.

Her Supra was purchased as a step down from owning a 640 hp Mercedes AMG C63s Coupe. She was once a technician at Mercedes and always aspired to own what she worked on. The Supra, giving that its manual and her currently owning a 2020 BMW M4 CS, she knew the supra would be the right fit for her,

Her car's build progress:

Over the years, she has invested thousands into the car from cosmetics to performance. Her first year, she focused on full engine bolt ons to get the car ready for a big turbo. She also focused on suspension, wheels, tires and a custom stereo system (she’s still a ’90s basshead at heart).. This year, she focused on a ECU unlock, clutch and bigger turbo. Unfortuantley, hiccups are part of the culture, and she ran into a issue with the clutch not being able to handle the extra power.

"After just a basic stage 2 OTS map (386hp to 450 hp), I decided to not just do the clutch but also upgrade various bushings for the shifter, add flex fuel ability, the biggest reasonable (streetable) turbo and also upgrade the water to air intercoolers including the intake manifold," said Daniela.

She currently waiting for her Pure 900 Turbo to come in, which is expected to make 600 wheel horspower on pump gas, 700 on E30 fuel and if she decided to upgrade the fuel injection system along with the fuel pump the car could possibly bring in a whopping 800 wheel horsepower on E50 fuel.

"I will be more than happy with what it ends up being on pump gas, but I will be tuning it to be able to flex fuel between standard fuel and E30 because why the heck not," said Daniela. Shes defintley in great spirits and we, at Car Girls Worldwide are excited to see what the car dials in, in terms of power.

When asked what she loved about her Supra, Daniela says that its light, looks different and handles so well.

Why Car Girls Worldwide?

“I’ve always been an outsider, I'm looking for community. When I was in my 20's, car communities were no place for a woman. People were awful. I've survived the machoism, death threats, bullying and harassment," said Daniela.

She mentions that in her experience, being half hispanic, intersex, and queer, car culture then was not a welcoming space for her. Those experiences have made her stronger, given her the drive to prove others wrong, but it has also made her weary to participate in things cars or bikes. She admits that she no longer attends local car meets or bike meets anymore due to her past experience attending.

"Women have to be exceptional to survive... Car Communities are always competitive with each other instead of embracing each other," said Daniela.

This hits home as alot of woman in our group share these similar experiences when navigating car culture. That's why here at Car Girls Worldwide we've built a platform to welcome all woman, all builds, all over the world. We hope to continue to create a safe space, a safe community, where woman can be themselves and thrive in the car community.

Her Advice for Other Car Girls

“Don’t listen to the haters. Don’t be forced to settle for less. If you want that Mustang Dark Horse, go for it," said Daniela.

She mentions that shes witnessed woman settle and not get the cars they desired because someone convinced them that they couldnt have it.

"I'm really excited about the generations after me having more opportunites, but I want more for them," said Daniela.

She mentions dont let anyone oppress you, whether its a friend, uncle, brother and onward. Dont let anyone convince you cant. Women are often told to stay small, so dont.
Buid what you love, drive what you dream, and take up space, know your worth, and dont let anyone brainwash you into thinking something isnt within your reach.

That right there is strength, and we, at Car Girls Worldwide love the message Daniela is embodying.

The Bigger Picture

Daniela’s story is about more than cars or bikes, it’s about resilience. She’s a cancer survivor, a high school dropout whose built a global business, and someone whose overcame homelessness and weight struggles.

Following a battle with leukemia, a 200 pound weight loss, and a personal journey to reclaim her health, she reignited her passion, this time through motorcycles. What began with fixing her wife’s bike turned into a full blown business tuning motorcycles. Today, she’s built, tuned, and customized over 700 motorcycles worldwide. She also owns 19 motorcycles and counting!

She mentions that three years ago, this new venture began to wear her down and she became suicidal. "Then I got my head right, saw a therapist, hired employees to take the load off and started to find the girl that existed before cancer, before the career change, all of it," said Daniela.

She was able to drop another 100 lbs in weight, find her happy balance between work and life. This is her full circle moment and when she felt things were going in the right direction  she was able to return to her original love, cars.

Fun Fact: Daniela is the founder and CEO of the largest tuning company globally for Triumph motorcyles!

Thank you, Daniela, for sharing your story and inspiring us all.

We, at Car Girls Worldwide, hope to continue building a future where women are not only just welcomed, but also celebrated.
